about
Wild Yam Pottery -- gallery and studio -- has been a fixture on the "Avenue" in Hampden since 1996. Potters Nancy Brady, Kathy Belz and Anne Efron create wheel thrown and slab built pieces for the home and garden. We work primarily in stoneware and porcelain and our pieces are fired in an oxidation kiln to cone 6 (approximately 2200 degrees F). We mix and formulate our own glazes to provide rich and varied surfaces that are food, dishwasher, and oven safe.
We invite you to stop in, watch us work, and browse the shop the next time you are in Hampden, hon!

“The purpose of art is washing the dust of daily life off our souls.”
